Turn Trauma Into Power.
Turn Adversity Into Your Advantage.
At Trauma To Power, we help individuals, entrepreneurs, leaders, and organizations develop resilience, strengthen mindset, and unlock their highest potential through trauma-informed coaching, behavioral science, and transformational growth strategies.
More Than Coaching. A Blueprint for Transformation.
Born in Opelousas, LA and serving clients across Acadiana and South Louisiana, Trauma To Power blends lived experience with behavioral science and trauma-informed coaching principles. The goal is simple: help people perform at their best, no matter what they're up against.
A Four-Step Framework for Lasting Change
Recognize
Identify the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be limiting growth. In sessions this means honest conversation about what keeps showing up, where the resistance lives, and what stories have been quietly running the decisions.
Rebuild
Develop practical strategies for resilience, emotional intelligence, and self-leadership. You leave each session with tools and language you can use the next day, not just frameworks to talk about.
Rise
Create sustainable momentum in life, leadership, relationships, and business. Progress is built one chosen behavior at a time, with accountability that catches you before old patterns reassert themselves.
Empower
Transform adversity into a source of strength, purpose, and impact. The endpoint is not just feeling better. It is becoming someone who can carry weight, lead well, and help other people do the same.
What Trauma-Informed Coaching Actually Means
Trauma-informed coaching recognizes what stress, adversity, and past experience do to the way people think, decide, and lead. It does not treat clients as fragile. It treats them as capable adults who deserve a coach who understands why some patterns feel impossible to change through willpower alone.
In practice, that means the work happens at two levels at once. On the surface, we look at goals, decisions, and habits. Underneath, we look at the beliefs and patterns that keep getting in the way. The result is change that holds, because the foundation underneath it has been examined and rebuilt instead of papered over.
The approach also recognizes who tends to walk into a coaching engagement. Business owners who are tired of running on adrenaline. Professionals who keep hitting the same wall in their career. Individuals who feel ready for the next chapter but cannot find the door. The conversation is honest about that. The work is built around it.

Signals That This Work Might Be a Fit
Coaching is not the right tool for every situation. It tends to be most effective when a person is ready to act, willing to look honestly at what is in the way, and open to building a different operating system rather than just talking about one. A few patterns we hear often:
- You keep arriving at the same wall in your business, your career, or your personal life and you are tired of explaining it the same way.
- You have survived something significant and you are ready to put the energy that has been going into surviving into building.
- Your performance under pressure used to be your edge and now it is starting to cost you more than it earns.
- You are about to step into a bigger role, a bigger arena, or a bigger version of your life and you want to walk in with your foundations in order.
- The advice from your peers and your usual sources has stopped landing, and you are looking for a conversation that goes deeper than tactics.
If two or three of those land, a discovery call is a useful next step. There is no pressure to enroll.
How an Engagement Typically Runs
Every engagement begins with a complimentary discovery call. The purpose of that call is honest assessment, not a sales pitch. By the end of it, you and the coach should both have a clear sense of whether the fit is right and which program is the best starting point.
Sessions themselves are held virtually for clients across Acadiana and South Louisiana. The format is conversational, focused, and structured. Each session has an agenda set from the previous session's commitments, time for what came up between sessions, and a clear set of next steps before you close.
Between sessions, you are not on your own. You receive practical tools, frameworks, and prompts to keep the work moving. For clients in the Core Transformation program and above, asynchronous check-ins between sessions are part of the rhythm. VIP clients have expanded direct access for moments that cannot wait until the next scheduled session.
The pace is intentional. Coaching done well rewards consistency over intensity, and the structure of each program reflects that.

Common Questions
How is this different from therapy?
Coaching is forward-looking work focused on goals, mindset, performance, and growth. Therapy is clinical care that diagnoses and treats mental health conditions. Trauma To Power provides coaching, consulting, and educational services, not therapy or medical treatment. If clinical support is what you need, the right next step is a licensed mental health professional, and a good coach will say so plainly.
Are sessions in person or virtual?
Most sessions are virtual, which keeps the door open to clients across Opelousas, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, and the rest of South Louisiana. In-person sessions in the Acadiana area can be arranged for specific engagements. Virtual is the default because it is convenient, private, and easier to sustain over the length of a program.
What is the typical time commitment?
Sessions typically run 60 to 75 minutes and are spaced weekly or biweekly depending on the program. Outside of the session itself, clients spend roughly two to four hours per week on the practical work between sessions. The work is designed to fit around a real life and a real business, not to add another full-time job to your plate.
What is the cost?
Programs start at $197 for the 3-week Foundations Mini Course and scale up through the $1,500 Core Transformation Program and the VIP Executive Transformation Experience, which starts at $5,000 and is application-based. Detailed program descriptions live on the Services page.
